Hi,

I am unable to retrieve any invitees or other members from a Google Meet recording that has come from a Fathom recording in Zapier.

This was directly from a call with multiple members, and the only email I can access from this response is my own.

Any help is appreciated!

Cheers,

Brendan

Hi @BrendanJ

A few things to keep in mind, this is an array, so the names will appear as a Line Item. The other thing is, i believe those are the people invited, not attended.

We do need a bit of more context to be able to help

Hi, ok, so should it show a preview of the line items?

And there should still be members invited, this was directly from a call with 5 participants.

I would show a preview of the line items yes, but it would look like this

Meeting Invitees (empty as shown in screenshot)

  1
    Field 1

    Field 2

This is basically a JSON and the relevant headers. In the next step, when trying to find the emails they would look like (email1, email2, email3) which is the line items. An easy way to find the field is to search for an email of one of the invitees that you know for sure were in this meeting.

@BrendanJ  - did you figure this out? I am encountering this as well. The email field is empty even though the attendee field is populated.

Hey all, just checking in! 👋

@BrendanJ and @tleethibodeau - were either of you able to get the attendee email addresses coming through?

It could potentially be a case of the emails not being supplied in the test record but being available when the Zap runs live. 🤔 I’d suggest turning the Zap on and doing a live test, to see what data is returned from Fathom in the Zap history. If the email comes over but fields differ when the Zap runs live to the existing test records you can then use the live Zap run to set up the Zap.

Let me know how it’s going, want to make sure everything’s all good here!

Hey @SamB – I’m also unable to see meeting attendees, for both test and live runs, and for both meetings I host and those I attend. This is with all free/trial accounts (Zoom, Fathom, and Zapier). Being unable to see who was in the meeting is a showstopper for me.

Update: I eventually found a single record that did have the invitees—it was recorded by the host, who is not in my org, and shared with me.

Cheers,
-Eric

Thanks for letting us know @eric-e. Glad to hear you were able to find a test record that did have the invitees present. It’s odd though that it was one where you weren’t the host of the meeting.

I did some digging on this end and it seems it’s expected that meetings which are started spontaneously (not linked to a calendar event) won’t be able to list the invitees. Fathom pulls the invitee details from the linked calendar events, so if a meeting doesn’t have a pre-scheduled calendar event linked to it then Fathom won’t be able to access invitee emails.

For the recordings that didn’t have any emails listed were they for calendar-scheduled meetings created using the desktop app, or were they started spontaneously? Just wondering if that might be what’s preventing the invitees/attendees from showing up for all recordings.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

@SamB These were primarily scheduled meetings. Some were tests in which I created a calendar event that was already live; not sure if it’s intended that these be treated as scheduled or spontaneous (I assumed scheduled).
