Unable to forward Whatsapp replies back to Tawk.to chats using Zapier

I am trying to forward messages from Tawk.to to Whatsapp and back. What I’m basically trying to achieve is to receive and reply to Tawk.to chats. I am able to receive the messages on Whatsapp, but my replies do not get forwarded to Tawk.to.

This is how the zap is currently set up:

  1. New chat started in Tawk.to
  2. Send Whatsapp notification

I tried to add another step to forward the message to Tawk.to but that option is grayed out.

 

I found this thread from 6 months ago but it seems unresolved. Can someone kindly help me with this?

The Tawk.to Zap app has 0 actions available.

 

WhatsApp Messenger is not supported.

Hello @Troy Tessalone  Not quite sure I understand because I was able to create a zap to send tawk.to messages to Whatsapp. I am receiving messages sent from Tawk.to.

 

Are you saying there’s no way to send the response from Whatsapp to Tawk.to?

WhatsApp Notifications is a different Zap app than WhatsApp Messenger.

https://zapier.com/apps/whatsapp-notifications/help

 

You can use WhatsApp Notifications in your Zaps to send yourself WhatsApp messages to your WhatsApp account. 

Messages are limited to prefilled templates for:

  • New Lead
  • New Message 
  • Payment Confirmation
  • New Order
  • Shipping Confirmation
  • Calendar Reminder
