I’m trying to set up a slack message for anytime one of my Zaps within a folder hit a “Stopped/Errored” error.  However, Zapier Manager appears to be buggy, as it returns no test Zap Errors, even though I can go to my history and confirm I’ve had errors within that folder in the last day.  When I try to debug by selecting the exact Zap that has had a recent error, that too fails to return any test records.

I am not selecting an Account, only selecting the folder I want in the “Configure” section.  What is odd though is the only choice available in the “Account” area is not me, but a former colleague who is not associated with the account whatsoever.  It feels like there’s a bug in my account that’s preventing this Zap from being successful, but since this Zap doesn’t allow you to choose a different “account” like when connecting to external apps, there’s no way for me to select my account rather than the account it appears to be auto-populating.

Hi there, @Driveline 👋

Just wanted to check in and see how you’re getting on. I noticed you reached out to our Support team but didn’t see confirmation that the issue was resolved. I’ll share their suggestion here in case it’s helpful for anyone else who runs into a similar issue in the future:

They suggested updating the settings for Zapier Manager notifications (under Email Notifications) to be "Always":2f8115b33d33cfe3b1ecffa79296ba5a.png

Want to make sure you’re all set, so if you’re still stuck or have any questions, just let us know! 🙂

Hi @Troy Tessalone , @SamB

I believe @Driveline is facing the same issues we’re facing with the Zapier Manager app. When you try to ‘find new records’, it returns the default Zapier Manager test data instead of your account’s failed zap data. This bug prevents users from configuring the subsequent steps required.

This issue has bugged us for ages.

@Antony

Some Zap apps only return representative records for their trigger steps so the user can configure the Zap action steps.

Try configuring the Zap steps and turning the Zap ON.

Then test live.

Check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/
