Hello Team,

I am preparing a Zap that will forward an invitation to other participants whenever a meeting is booked in Microsoft Bookings.

It’s a 2 steps zap, first it connects to the correct outlook account:

and second step is Update calendar event:

The Event ID is taken from the previous step, but the tests fail:

I use the AI Help me fix it, it proposes an ID:

I set the one the AI proposed, yet I get the same error:

If I chose static value no events are shown:

If I pick the event from the proposed ones the tests fail again:

I publish the zap and of course no invitation is sent to the additional email addresses.

Cheers,

Z

Hi @ZhivkoZhelev

Mappings the ID of the Calendar Event from Zap step 1 to Zap step 2 should be correct.

Make sure you are using the same Outlook app account connection in each Zap step.

Make sure to test with an existing Outlook Calendar Events.

Try turning the Zap ON and testing live.

Then check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Hey Troy,

I did everything, but yet it will not run smoothly:

The attendee is the one that should receive the invitation.

Changing the key to the one the AI proposed AAkALgAAAAAAHYQDEapmEc2byACqAC-EWg0A3X_8M3h72kqti2kQgBf6RAAACeJjiQAA leading to a successful run:

but no event in outlook calendar:

@Troy Tessalone

Sorry for the multiple posts, but after the above the new runs will result an error, meaning that Zapier is not taking the ID dynamically IMO(no changes done).

@ZhivkoZhelev

Based on the screenshot the Zap Runs are successful for some but not others.

That means it is likely due to the data being used, not the configuration of the Zap steps.

You’ll have to troubleshoot to determine the root cause of the Zap Run errors for those.

  • It may be related to the Outlook account being used in the Zap steps.
  • It may be related to which Outlook account owns the Event.
