Troubleshooting unread emails in Outlook's specific folder search

Hi,

Using the outlook “Find Emails in Specific Folder” module,

choosing the right folder

and setting the search Terms: “isread:no”
leads to the error message

Failed to find an email in folder in Microsoft Outlook

Error from halted execution: Nothing could be found for the search.

When i remove the “isread:no” terms, i get the emails ok, but i need to only retrieve unread mails from a specific folder from an outlook account.

Anyone experiencing similar problems or can point me to what i am doing wrong?

Hey @ikm,

I don’t think isread:no search term operation is supported by Zapier.

A workaround could be adding a Filter after New Email in Specific Folder trigger. There you can check from the trigger data if the isread is false. Hope it helps!

Hey @Sparsh from Automation Jinn

many thanks for your answer!

While yes, this would work, it would require zapier to always read ALL the mails. A little inefficient but no dealbreaker for us in this context.

However i’d be really surprised if zapier is not capable to read microsoft emails correctly (like with unread/read flags). But hey.

So out of curiousity - anyone here reading microsoft email accounts with zapier having solved this?
