Troubleshooting Stan to Beehiiv subscriber connection via Zapier

Hi, I’m new to Zapier and have a basic Zap setup that creates new subscribers to Beehiiv after they purchase or download a product from my Stan Store. However, I’m trying to add these subscribers to automations in Beehiiv based on the product they purchased in Stan. I keep getting error messages on the tests. I’ve tried building it through paths, webhooks and custom actions in Zapier. Could really use some recommendations.

 I simply need the product name in Beehiiv so I can run automated email sequences.

To trigger Beehiiv automations by product, Zapier needs to store the product name on the subscriber in Beehiiv.

Best setup:

  1. Trigger: Stan Store purchase/download

  2. Action: Beehiiv Create/Update Subscriber

  3. Map Stan’s Product Name into a Beehiiv Custom Field (like product) or apply a Tag (like stan:ProductName)

Then in Beehiiv, start automations based on that custom field or tag.

Most test errors happen when the custom field/tag doesn’t exist yet in Beehiiv or the trigger test data has a blank product name.

Please post screenshots of the error message, Data In, Data Out as well as how each Zap step is configured for us to have more context. 

You should be able to get the product details from the Stan trigger and after that you can use Paths in Zap to add subscribers in Beehive based on the products.

Your workflow will look something like this-

  • New Customer Trigger
  • Paths in Zapier
  • Create a Subscriber( If it doesn’t exist)
  • Add a subscriber to a automation
