I have a zap that

  1. gets a email attachment (xlsx)  filename changes daily
  2. gets the id of an existing file on the google drive (fixed filename)
  3. I try to do a replace file. the zap says it was successful but the file on the drive remains the old one .I can see this since the size of file is not changing nor is the data inside it new.

    would appreciate suggestions what i am doing wrong

Hi @mrrcomp

For us to have more info, post these screenshots:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible in the CONFIGURE tab

@mrrcomp

In the screenshots below, the File field expects a file link or a file object, rather than the filename.

Map the file object “Attachment (Exists but not shown)” variable from Zap step 1.

Screenshots below from the help link show the variable to map.
