Troubleshooting First ZAP - Discord > Slack

My first ZAP is meant to redirect messages from a Discord Channel to a Slack Channel. The trigger in Discord is “New Message Posted to Channel” which connects to a Slack node “Send Channel Message”. It’s live but not forwarding the new Discord post to the Slack channel. What am I missing?

Hi there @P52Dave,

Welcome to the Community! 🎉

Before we dig deeper into this, would you mind sharing a detailed screenshot of how your Zap is configured? Also, please share a screenshot of the “CONFIGURE” section of the action step that shows all of its fields.

Please don't include personal information in the screenshot, or be sure blur out any personal information.

Thanks!

Hi @P52Dave,

We do apologize for any inconvenience. To troubleshoot your Discord to Slack Zap, ensure the correct server, channel, and workspace are selected. Test the Zap to verify it picks up messages from Discord, and check that Zapier has the necessary permissions in both Discord and Slack. Review your Zap History for errors and try reconnecting your Discord and Slack accounts if needed.

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact us if you need further assistance.
