I have a "email" data collection field in ManyChat that's set as required. Once someone enters their email, I want it to automatically sync to my Omnisend email list. However, I'm unsure whether this needs to be set up as Instagram > Omnisend through Zapier, or directly as ManyChat > Omnisend. I've explored both options but can't figure out the correct settings since my tests keep failing.

Hi @zigzaprier,

Can you post a screenshot of the error message that you are getting when completing the Zap? Make sure to obscure any sensitive information within the screenshot. Thank you.

Hey @zigzaprier, welcome to the Community! 🎉

It’s been a while since you posted here so you may have already got this sorted, but in case you haven’t here’s what I’d suggest…

To have a subscriber created (or updated with the details collected by the Manychat app) you’d want to map the users details from the Manychat trigger to the relevant fields. For example selecting the fields highlighted here:

Would ensure that whenever the Zap triggers the user’s first name, last name and email address will be added to the subscriber that’s created in Omnisend.

The Tags field can be used to add a specific tag to the subscriber to add them to a specific segment:

You mentioned that the tests keep failing which could be because there’s no email address or phone value present in the test record from Manychat:

A value of either an email address or phone number is required in order to create/update a subscriber. So you might need to change the test record in your Zap’s trigger or edit the test record to enter an actual email address or phone number that can be used by the Omnisend app to create/update the subscriber in a test.

Hope that helps to get you pointed in the right direction. If you run into any issues on that or have questions do let us know!
