We set up a Zap for a new client - Startel CMC to Sales Force. We were successful in setting up and receiving information in Sales Force, via Zapier. However, our client is receiving several blank intelliforms, both before and after, the zap is run. Any idea what could be causing this?

Hi @KatSpencer

Check your Zap Runs history for activity: https://zapier.com/app/history/

You can click into a Zap Run to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

For us to have more context, post screenshots showing how the Zap steps are outlined and configured.

Hi @KatSpencer, welcome to the Community! 🎉

I just came across this and wanted to check in to see how things are going. Were you able to spot what the issue was by reviewing the Zap runs as Troy suggested?

If so, would you be up for sharing what the solution was? It could really help others in the Community who might be facing similar issues. 🙏

And if you’re still running into trouble, could you share some screenshots (with any personal information removed) showing the Zap’s setup, as Troy mentioned? We don’t have access to your Zaps, so screenshots are really helpful for giving us better insight into whether anything in the setup might be causing some trouble.

Thanks—looking forward to your reply!

Hey, @SamB @Troy Tessalone! Good morning! We did figure it out, but it was kind of a weird situation. Basically, when I looked at the Zap history, I was seeing two different Zaps. The main one that was published was working as programmed. The second Zap (a practice Zap, that did not have any information programmed, but seemed to be polling at the same time, but because the paths were not set up, it just kept sending over the blank. I fixed it by just deleting that weird Zap and things worked fine. Best part? The client thinks I’m a rockstar. I’ll take it!!

One thing I will mention to those that might be using a similar Zap, keep in mind that any fields that have menus or picklists attached need to be set up as “custom”. It will fail if you use the “static” disposition. Once we figured that out, we were cookin’!

I appreciate that you both took time out of your busy days to respond to me and offer guidance. So very cool!

Way to go, @KatSpencer—love this! 🧡 Really glad you got things resolved and I’m so pleased your client is super happy with the results. 🙌

That’s a great callout to use the custom values instead of static values, it’ll definitely be helpful to know for anyone that’s building something similar. Appreciate you taking the time to share what you learned here. Thanks so much! 🤗
