Trouble with Parsing emails with Email Parser by Zapier

Hi all,

I’m trying to rip email addresses from my gmail account every time someone books a time slot on my calendly. I set up the parser by Zapier and put the trigger & action. It worked for the test zap and correctly put the email address of the test zap into the google sheet. But when I tried it on a personal email address, it didn’t go through and no information was transcribed. Will list some pictures below - any ideas on what I’m missing or doing wrong?

Hey there,  @WilltheTrill! Sorry to hear you’re running into this and we definitely want to help.

It looks like you’re looking to parse emails from a Gmail account. Were able to set that up auto-forwarding? Here’s a help doc on how to get started and some instructions on auto-fowarding.

If you’ve confirmed that’s good to go, it might be worth running through some troubleshooting for when you zap isn’t triggering. Here’s a doc on some initial steps to take

I hope some of this helps but keep us posted! 🙂

Hi @WilltheTrill

Good question.

Check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each Zap step: https://zapier.com/app/history/

If you have a Calendly Professional paid plan or higher, then you can use Calendly directly as your Zap trigger.

The free Email Parser by Zapier is not the most robust.

You can try using a more robust email parser such as Mailparser: https://zapier.com/apps/mailparser/integrations

Or a Code step can be configured to do email parsing: https://zapier.com/apps/code/help

Another option would be to use AI with ChatGPT instead to do the email parsing for you.
