Trouble sending SMS updates for veterinary clinic clients

I’m so close—but I can’t figure out why it’s not sending!

I run a nonprofit veterinary clinic and am working on ways to improve communication with our clients. My first project is keeping clients updated while their pets are in our care. It’s a very simple system with three steps for the nurses to send updates (example)

  • Your pet is waiting to be seen

  • Your pet is waiting to go into surgery

  • Your pet is in surgery

  • Your pet is out of surgery and in recovery

  • Your pet is ready for pickup

Everything is built, and it even worked once, but now the updates aren’t going through. For now, I’m sending emails while I wait for RingCentral to approve our SMS.

Can you post screenshots of Data In and Data Out as well as how zap steps are configured for us to have more context?

Good morning ​@Sparsh from Automation Jinn  - and appreciate you responding. I have rolled out RingCentral yet - since they are still pending my SMS (up to 20 days to approve). So this is just about notification via email (until SMS is approved). 

I have a short form for the client to fill out on drop off (this form is uploaded by a QR code, so the client can do it on their phone)- this includes their name, phone #, email, pet name and reason for visit. This information is stored in a table

The nurse, can also use their phone or a clinic Device to scan a QR code, where they can drop down a pet name (from the tables), drop down a status of the pet, add an optional message and send.

Honestly, Im not sure what data in/out you are needing? I did try and work it out with the AI CoPilot, so I have a lot of back/forth I can screenshot, but that might not be what you are looking for - and its a lot. 

I know there are people on here who are paid to configure/fix, if that is something I can discuss with you - let me know. I assume at that time you can tap into my account and figure it out a lot faster? I assume it's ok asking this here, and I am not breaking any rules?  

Any help is appreciated, this is our BIGGEST client complaint, poor communication. Just trying to better ourselves

I think SMS may not be sent due to 10DLC approval which you should try after getting approved. I can understand how it can get a bit more complex and technical as the workflows are usually personalized to user’s needs. But, it’s great to see you want to leverage Zapier in your business.

Yes, but it's the emails that arent working. Once RingCentral approves the SMS, we will implement

Check Zap run history for error details and confirm Ringcentral sms is fully approved.
