New Order triggered event ZAP Setup is Easy and Selection of Ticket Level Count is available in setup but says No Data. Tests Okay with dummy data except no ticket counts. When real data is available, it gets pushed to Google Sheets, but ticket counts selected in the setup are blank.

The process is not pulling in the data group it sees as available in setup. It’d kind of useless if it can’t pull in ticket level counts per order. Again, setup looks like it should be able to do it as the Ticket Count fields are available to select for input into Sheet columns.

Adding that the TicketSpice “Orders” report contains all of the fields necessary to complete this Zap. I created a custom report in TicketSpice to extract the data I need.  I’m just trying to automate it, so I don’t have to manually copy/paste the Excel report into Google Sheets.

Again, ZAP setup shows the fields I need (Ticket Counts) and maps them to the correct Google Sheet columns. The setup fields show “no data” for dummy data and the successful ZAP triggered by a new order brings over purchaser personal info but not ticket counts of each ticket type.

Hi @JTW75,

Welcome to the Community.

If TicketSpice ticket count data isn't transferring to Google Sheets, check for data format compatibility, ensure the Zap is correctly triggered by the 'New Order' event, and verify if there's a delay in data availability. If the issue persists, it is recommended that you contact Zapier support for further assistance.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi there, @JTW75 👋

Just came across your post and it sounds like the selected Ticket Count field isn’t available when the Zap runs live, is that correct?

If yes, when the Zap runs live is the ticket count information visible in the Zap history? If it is, then it’s likely that the naming of the fields in test record differ from those that appear when the Zap runs live. In which case using a recent Zap run as the test record for the Zap instead of that default test record should help. As it would allow you to map the missing order information from the correct fields and pass it over to Google Sheets.

Hope that helps. If I’ve misunderstood the situation or you found a different solution please let us know—want to make sure you’re all set! 🙂

Sorry,

I deleted the ZAP account after contacting ZAP support. It was going to be too much effort for the size of the event.

You should be able to duplicate this with any generic ticketing site. The New Order to Google Sheets process does not pick up ticket level data. My guess is it was built on your old display of ticket orders and now you have a new format. I told ZAP they should just use your Report exporter for the API. It would be more flexible for the user and developer.

The ZAP setup could find the Order Fields I wanted to transfer to Google Sheets but when an order came thru, the ticketing data was blank. The generic ZAP data was blank also, but I wrongly assumed since ZAP located the fields in setup, it would send the data when an actual order came thru.

Try using any generic ticketing site with 2 ticket types available to purchase.  Construct a Google Sheet with 4 columns; Ticket Type 1, Ticket Type 2, Last Name First Name. Then set up a New Order ZAP to send Count of each ticket type purchased and Last Name, First Name of purchaser. When a new order is placed, Names will be sent to Google sheets, but ticket counts will be blank.

Let me know when you get that to work and maybe I will try again.

Thanks,

Mark

Hey Mark,

After reviewing this and testing it on our end, you are correct, the data doesn't translate over to the google sheet, so it looks like a bug. I'll immediately write this up for our Dev Team to review. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention.
