Trouble Mapping 'To' Field in Zapier for Trello-Gmail Automation

I want to automate a welcome email being sent to any new member that joins my trello board. I have tried this several times and i haven’t been able to get it done. I know i am supposed to use trello as the trigger app and the trigger event should be when a new member joins the board. I also use the gmail app as the action app.

Where i have been having issues is the ‘to’ field. I want it to use the email attached to the trello account of any new member that joins the board . How do i achieve thiis ? I think the field mapping options should show an option like that, but it hasn’t been showing it. Am i wrong? Is there no option like that?  I have asked copilot how to do it, but it has not been really helpful.

Please help me, how do i achieve it?

Hi @EMPRESS MO

Try these Zap steps:

  1. Trigger: Trello - New Member on Board
  2. Action: Trello - Find Member
    1. Map the Member Username to the Member Name field
    2. This step should return a variable: Email

Hey there, @EMPRESS MO 👋

How did you get on with Troy’s suggestion of using a Find Member (Trello) action to get the email address—did it work as intended?
