I am having trouble editing a zap............. I select the zap from the dashboard that I want, then I click on the edit zap in the top right corner but when I search for text in "data out" it does not edit it

Which browser are you trying this from? Would it be possible to try from another browser?

Buddy I have managed to edit it how I want then I click retest and it reverts to its old self i'd rather save it then retest
can I do this
by the way I don't know how to do a recording

That sounds very odd - what you’ve described should result in the value being saved. For this one it might pay to reach out to Zapier support to query: https://zapier.com/app/get-help
They’d like to see a recording too I’m sure though - since what you’re describing should result in a change rather than it reverting back to what was already there. A good tool for this can be found at loom.com, which offers a tool to make a 5 minute recording for free.
