Question

Trigger activation error

Hello everyone,
we have created a set of Zaps to integrate ComX into our HubSpot. The Zaps translate negative, positive and neutral responses from ComX to the lifecycle status in HubSpot.
One trigger was not initiated by ComX, as it should have been, but by an email forwarded by a ComX contact.
The lifecycle stage was originally set to Lead when the contact record was created, as the contact was created from a conversation. Then, about 50 minutes later, the Zapier integration updated the stage and changed it to "No Interest". However, the email was not negative and most importantly was not directly from ComX. Can you please check the Zapier settings to see what is causing the trigger to activate in Zapier in this case?

Best regards

Toni

Hi @Antonia

For us to have true context, we would need to see screenshots with how your Zap steps are outlined and configured.

Check your Zap Runs history to see activity and the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Hi @Troy Tessalone

thank you for your feedback.

In this case for example, the contact has been added in the Zap for negative answers, but he actually was interested in a meeting.

@Antonia

Perhaps add a Filter between the Zap steps to only trigger under certain conditions: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help
