TinyEmail API key not available – GrooveMail integration issue

Hello,

I’m attempting to create a Zap:

Trigger: New Lead in GrooveMail (Groove.cm)
Action: Create/Update Subscriber in TinyEmail

The issue:
I cannot find an API key inside TinyEmail. There is no API section visible in my account.

Zapier requires an API key to connect TinyEmail.

Does anyone know:
• Whether TinyEmail’s free partnership plan includes API access?
• If there is an alternative authentication method?
• If TinyEmail requires a higher-tier plan for API access?

Or has someone successfully connected GrooveMail to TinyEmail another way?

Thank you.

Hi @Big Ben

The tinyEmail API is available exclusively to Enterprise accounts.

Info: https://docs.tinyemail.com/docs/tiny-email/tinyemail

Try reaching out to TinyEmail Support for help with their app, API, and Zap app integration.

Contact them at support@tinyemail.com

Sorry to hear that @Big Ben. That’s really strange, if you’re on their Enterprise plan then they should be able to supply you with the API Key. Looking at the guide Troy shared a link to, it seems that contacting them over email or live chat is the only way to get the API key:

Are you the admin or owner of your company’s TinyEmail account? Just wondering if it could be that they’ll only hand over the API to the account admin/owner. In which case you’ll want to have them reach out to TinyEmail’s support team directly to request the API Key.

Keep us posted on how you get on.

I think the main issue is probably that TinyEmail API access isn’t available on all plans.

Their API docs say the API is Enterprise only, and that you need to contact TinyEmail support to get the API key. So if you’re on a free/partner plan, that would explain why you don’t see an API section in the account.

So most likely:

  • no API key visible = no API access on your current plan

  • Zapier’s TinyEmail connection still expects an API key

  • next step is probably to ask TinyEmail support whether your plan includes API access, or whether you’d need an upgrade to use it in Zapier

So yeah, this sounds more like a plan limitation than you missing a setting.
