What I’m trying to do is upload a png of a QR code into my google drive. Once that image is uploaded, I would like Zapier to use a template in my Google Drive to create a Google Doc and add the QR code into that new google doc. When I go to test it, it will create a document from the template, but it will not replace any of my dynamic fields. I get an error message that says: Failed to create a create document from template in Google Docs. Object of type LazyFile is not JSON serializable.

I know that someone had previously had a similar error with Google Sheets, but I don’t understand why what I’m trying to do with Google Docs doesn’t work as Google Docs does allow you to insert images into a document.

Hi @Pinnacle Forum

To use images in templates you will need to use a GSlides template.

Hi @ansanmateo,

Have you tried the suggestion of Troy to use Google Slides - Create Presentation From Template?
