I just created a Zap and I checked the connections and there is connectivity to both the apps involved. However when I click on the Zap the steps and the menu items on the side bar don’t load. It seems like it got stuck in a loop or waiting for something to happen in the background as it just shows the outline of the steps and the other items menu items I mentioned above on the screen but not the contents inside them. It just shows as they are loading. I don’t remember exactly now but I think after created connections and added steps it never took me to the next step in the process. It behaved the same way when I hit ‘continue’ at the bottom. In other words it never finished what it was supposed to do when you add the steps and hit ‘continue’. Can someone tell me what would be the basic troubleshooting steps and/or if there is a way to get more info, like logs or something, to see what exactly is going on in the background.

Hi @knzap

Make sure your browser is updated.

Try using a new/different private browser.

Hey @knzap,

Please post screenshots for us to have more context. Here are some of the troubleshooting tips you may want to try to see if it fixes the issue-

  • Try another browser or incognito mode
  • Re authenticate the connection
  • Relogin again
  • Delete cache for Zapier

You can also try contacting Zapier support here- https://zapier.com/app/get-help. Hope it helps!

My issue got resolved and it was a silly one! When I created my Zapier account today it sent an email to my email address asking me to Verify my email, which I didn’t see and so didn’t do before I started creating my first Zap. Once I did that and re-login into Zapier, it started working. As in I was able to see the contents within the visual representation boxes of each step. So that fixed the issue. A message on screen would have been nice. If not exactly pointing out the issues, at least something like your profile creation is incomplete or something like that.

Just came across this and wanted to thank you @knzap, for following up here to share what the issue was. Doing that really helps out others in the community who might be experiencing similar issues 🤗 And thanks to @Troy Tessalone and @Sparsh from Automation Jinn for jumping in to assist. 🧡

I’ll go ahead and mark your reply as the best answer to better surface how you solved things here. And I’ll pass your idea about adding an onscreen message over to our Product team so they can consider adding that in the future.

In the meantime, happy Zapping! 😁⚡
