Testing lead gen form connectivity between LinkedIn and Zoom as a host

Hi can’t test if my lead gen form for my LinkedIn add is conneted to my zoom registration since I am the host myself. Is there any way to work around this? I would just want to make sure that it is working.

The idea is that whenever someone on linkedin add their contact info for the lead gen form on Linkedin they should automatically also be registered in zoom (so they do not need to do this extra step themselves).

Hey @Ibb Lampic Aaltonen,

I think just try some other email address to test this. You can try using a plus alias as well if you don’t have an alternative email address. Hope it helps!

Hi Jinn,

I would like to test that, but as you see in the screenshot, my name and email is already “pre selected” is there any way to edit the email?

It is taken from “Form Response B”.

Hey @Ibb Lampic Aaltonen,

Try adding a custom value to test your action. Click the three dot icon and then choose a custom value. After that you can manually enter the email or the name to test your action. Hope it helps!

Hi there @Ibb Lampic Aaltonen 👋

Did you have any luck testing with a custom value, like Sparsh suggested?

Let us know how it went, want to make sure this gets sorted 🙂

HI @SamB and @Sparsh from Automation Jinn .

Thank you for the help. I did a trail period which ends today. This workflow I’m using right now is supported on the free plan right?

Yes, that error is expected. Zoom doesn’t allow the webinar host to be registered as an attendee, so the test will always fail if you’re using the host’s email.

The usual workaround is to test with a different email address that isn’t the host (or have a teammate submit the LinkedIn lead form). Once that works, you can be confident the flow is fine for real leads.

I’m so sorry about the delay in replying here @Ibb Lampic Aaltonen

Unfortunately, the LinkedIn Ads app is a premium app so it wouldn’t be possible to use while on the Free plan, you’d need to upgrade to a paid plan in order to use it.

Did it work when you tested with a different email address?
