Syncing JotForm submission details to Outlook calendar

Hello,

I need appointment details (Time & date) from a JotForm submission to automatically sync to my outlook calendar. Instead of this happening, the date and time the submission was received is what is showing, and i can't edit it in outlook. How can I resolve this issue?

Hi @VaccinesNPVI

For us to have more info, post these screenshots:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible

In Zap Step 2, for Outlook Create Event, for the field End Date & Time, it has a variable mapped with is the ISO timestamp for EST (Eastern Standard Time), which will have a value of a timestamp at the point in time that the Zap Runs.

You want to map a different variable from Zap step 1 that represents the desired End Date & Time from Jotform.

Okay, We actually would like to have the appointment date and time displayed. Not the time the submission was received.

I’m not sure how to do this, as i don't have a specific end date. The start and end date is determined when an appointment is made.

@VaccinesNPVI

You said the Date & Time come from Jotform.

So you would map the Start Date & Time and the End Date & Time from the Jotform Zap step.

You would either have to collect the:

  • Start Date & Time and the End Date & Time
  • Start Date & Time + Duration
    • With Duration you can derive the End Date & Time from the Start Date & Time + Duration

Formatter Zap app can be used to help adjust Dates & Times.

Date & Time Modifiers can also be used:

There is no start or end date in the JotForm zap step.

Check the TEST tab to see the DATA OUT from the Jotform submission.
