Hi,

 

I have set up a Zap to populate an Excel worksheet from my Survey Monkey survey. The Zap works successfully, and the data is transferred. However, numbers and dates transfer from Survey Monkey as text. So, a date like 30/08/2025 will show in Excel as ‘30/08/2025 and a number like 5 will show in Excel as ‘5. 

 

The addition of the text single quote, ‘, converts the data into text, rather than keeping its native type (ie  date and number),

 

Is there a way to avoid this or to format the incoming data?

Hey ​@OACIS,

You can use Formatter by Zapier step before sending the data to Excel. You can use the Date/Time or the number action there to convert the string into the desired format.
