Stuck on Instagram Business Configuration in Zapier - No Options Available
Hi,
I have spent a few hours on Zapier try to figure out the instagram business part. I have connected my Meta account and I granted all access to Zapier, I am also the page admin, instagram account just changed to business account, but it still stuck on the configuration part, which shows no options are available. Could somebody please help?

Hi @Big J,
To troubleshoot issues with Zapier’s Instagram Business integration, ensure your Instagram Business account is linked to your Facebook Page. Reconnect your Instagram account to Zapier via the Zapier dashboard. Verify your Instagram account is a Business Account, not a Personal or Creator account. Check Zapier’s app permissions in Facebook settings. If problems persist, try a different browser or incognito mode. If none of these steps work, contact Zapier’s support team for further assistance.
Hello,
I have checked my instagram is business account. I have reconnect Facebook with Zapier for more than 10 times. Ziper permission on Facebook is all allowed. Just tried using 3 browsers and incognito tab still not working, please help!
Thank you!
Hi @Big J,
Before we dive deeper, could you please check you have given Zapier (on Facebook) permission to grant these permissions:
I just came across this thread and spotted that it’s still unanswered. Did granting those specific permissions Ken mentioned help to get things solved? If so, we’d love to get his reply marked as the best answer to help surface the solution to others in the Community.
If not, and you’re still unable to select the Instagram account in the Zap please let us know and we’ll be happy to assist further.
Looking forward to hearing from you on this!
I’ve tried all this, too, and I also still get stuck at the same point unable to select a facebook page or instagram account from which to get the data/media.
Hi there @nicoj,
This look like a permission issue based on our notes. Instead of reconnecting, I would recommend adding a NewConnection for your Instagram for Business account to Zapier through the Apps page: https://zapier.com/app/connections. Then, select this New Connection as the account for your Instagram Business step in the Zap. This is to ensure that permissions are granted properly upon connection.
Kindly give it a try and let me know how it goes? I'll keep an eye out for your response!
Hi,
I’m having the same issue. I have given zapier all permissions on facebook, tried reconnecting, and tried creating a new connection. I still get the “no connections available” message.
@ken.a do you have any further suggestions?
Thanks
Nevermind, it worked when I inserted the instagram ID manually (as a custom value).
I have deleted all Instagram and Facebook connections and reconnected and now both instagram and facebook pages have the same problem.
Zapier is pretty useless if I can’t use it on my major social media sites...
mine too.. already reconnected all but no result
Hi @nicoj and @iromashiro,
Hi @hanneke,
Meta has announced that the Instagram Basic Display API powering Zapier’s Instagram integration will be deprecated today, December 4, 2024. As a result, any Zaps using the Instagram app will stop functioning on this date.
To maintain functionality, please migrate your Zaps to the Instagram for Business integration, which offers the same key features and more.
If you aren't seeing your account in the list, we are seeing this issue come up for a few users but are able to fix it by doing the following. One customer found that they needed to give Zapier (on Facebook) permission to grant 'Access profile and posts from the Instagram account connected to your Page':
Click on Linked Accounts in the permissions section:
Click on View if Instagram isn't connected. If it is connected, disconnect it and then click view:
Reconnect the Instagram account:
After making this change, you'll need to make a new connection to Instagram to see the pages in the Zap editor.
Can you try to reconnect the account after checking the above permission? To refresh your app connection, follow these steps:
Head to the Zap
Select the dropdown holding the list of accounts
Click on Change then "Connect a new account" and follow the prompts
Return to your Zap
Let me know once you have had a chance to get to the above, I'll keep an eye out for your reply!

Hi! I hope you can help me.
I’ve checked all of these steps, everything is in place, all access and connections.
Instagram is Business account (not Individual or Creator), It is connected Facebook Page.
I’ve tried to reconnect it all several times - I still see the same screen with no accounts available
What do I do?
Hi,
I had the same problem and got it working by entering the Instagram Account ID manually.
We can get the ID when adding or editing a connection (first screenshot).
When configuring, select Custom value instead of Static and enter the ID manually (second screenshot).
Hope this helps someone else.
Thank you Naid!
I did not know it was an option, i’ve put the ID manually and seems that it is gonna work!
It should be working without having to enter an ID manually. Why isn’t the Instagram for Business connection not accessing the Facebook Pages or Instagram accounts properly?
Hi @User 20777762,
We just wanted to see how everything is going with your Zap. Did Nicoj’s recommendation get the job done? Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance with your Zap. We're glad to address any concerns and assist you.
We're looking forward to your response.
@JammerS Yes it worked!
I too have this same problem with my Facebook/Instagram business account. I have tried everything in this thread, and nothing works. I’ve been at it for over a week now, and no joy. For reference, I connected Buffer, IFTTT, and Dlvr.it to my instagram business account (with the new API) and they all work fine.
Do you have any other ideas or diagnostics? I’d like to stay with Zapier, but you are making it very hard to do.
-Jim
Hi @Jimmer,
I have a suggestion for a workaround that may help: You can use the Instagram account ID as a custom value. You should be able to see the ID on Facebook. Like so:
