Hi,

I am using Zapier to transfer into the Cloze CRM the notes taken by the Fathom AI note taker.

Although Fathom always generates the event at the end of the meeting, the transfer into Cloze fails in several instances, always with a message like this:

Halted Exception: Invalid address: domain:mmalik@XXXX.ca,djones@XXXX.ca

The email addresses of the two individuals that participated in the meeting are valid. (XXXX represents the client's domain name), both exist in Cloze, and I have no problems sending or receiving emails to or from those addresses using both gmail and Cloze email.

I was looking at the log of successful and failed zaps, and I think the problem usually occurs when there is more than one person in the meeting.

Transferring the notes captured by Fathom during meetings with people from different companies using exactly the same zap  worked well.

Can you help me solve this problem?

Many thanks in advance,

Hi @aschoijett

If you need to handle each email address separately, then use the Looping app: https://zapier.com/apps/looping/help

Seems like there are 2 issues:

  • multiple email addresses
    • domain:mmalik@XXXX.ca,djones@XXXX.ca
  • one of the email addresses is not valid because it has the “domain:” as part of the username of the email (before the @)
    • domain:mmalik@XXXX.ca

For us to have more info, post screenshots with how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode.

Hi @aschoijett 👋

Have you had a chance to try out the Looping action that Troy suggested yet?

To remove “domain:” from the email address I’d suggest using a Formatter (Text > Replace) action. That should help to ensure that a valid email is passed to Cloze.

Hope that helps but if you run into any further issues on this please do let us know - happy to assist if you’re still stuck at all!
