Question

Shippo Zap unable to find existing shipping labels/orders

Hi, I’m in process of integrating my shippo order management system to a sharetribe marketplace.

I’m attempting to automate notifying user via email, when shipping label is created.

Shippo zapier integration has this action, but I’m unable to find any of my labeles attached to my account, when testing.

See screen shot of my shippo api portal and my Zap workspace. Perhaps zapier doesn’t like the fact that it’s a test label? Any ideas?

thanks,

Hi @securegears

Try clicking the [SKIP] button in the Zap trigger step to get a representative dummy record returned to use to configure the Zap action steps.

Then turn your Zap ON and test live.

Check your Zap Runs history details to see the real DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow: https://zapier.com/app/history/

New Label Trigger

Shippo triggers for New Labels whenever a label was created / purchased in Shippo.
The available fields include the label URL, tracking number, carrier name, service level name & more.
If the label was created for a specific order, there's also a field with the corresponding order ID.
You can use this ID to search for the order in Zapier with the Order Search.

Thanks Troy for getting back to me.  I’m able to populate a template using the representative dummy and I turned on my zap.

Unfortunately, I’m still not triggering any actually orders using the shippo integration. My best guess is it requires a live key, as oppose to my test api key.

I’ll try webhooks instead.
