Hi, I need help setting up a Zap using Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Notta.

Goal:
Whenever a Google Drive URL is pasted into (or updated in) Column D of a Google Spreadsheet, I want Zapier to:
1. Automatically detect the URL.
2. Send the corresponding audio file from that URL to Notta for transcription.
3. After the transcription is complete, paste the result into Column Q of the same row.

Important notes:
- The audio files are stored in Google Drive.
- I’ve tried setting this up, but nothing happens. The Zap doesn’t seem to trigger or complete the actions.
 

Any advice, templates, or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Here are the links for Google Sheets and Notta integration in Zapier-

You workflow will look something like this-

  • New or Updated Spreadsheet Row Trigger
  • Transcribe an Audio or Video Notta action
  • Update Spreadsheet Row action

This is a sample workflow and the exact complexity depends on your needs. Make sure the audio URL from google drive is publicly accessible. Also make sure to be on the Pro plan of Notta to use Zapier integration if you see here- https://support.notta.ai/hc/en-us/articles/28179083843611-How-to-integrate-Zapier-with-Notta. If the Zap is not triggering, you may want to check into any permissions issue and if you have selected the right spreadsheet. Make sure the link to the GDrive File is a publicly accessible direct download link.

Help links about GDrive links formats: 

 

Make sure your GSheet is configured as a flat file:

  • Row 1 with headers
  • No gap rows/columns
  • No grouped rows/columns

 

Try these Zap steps:

  1. Trigger: GSheets - New or Updated Spreadsheet Row
  2. Action: Filter
    1. Check to make sure there is a link in Column D
    2. Check to make sure there is no value in Column Q
  3. Action: Notta - Transcribe an Audio or Video
  4. Action: GSheets - Update Spreadsheet Row
    1. Map the Row/ID from Zap step 1

 

If you need more help, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in the CONFIGURE tab while in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible.
