I wish to set up a Zap whereby I add any new contact into a particular Notion contact group and Zapier then arranges for my Gmail to send an email to that person with a welcome message which contains a link to a welcome video (Saved on Google drive) plus the email contain an attachment for a file/pdf (also saved in my GDrive).

In practice, when they  click the email video link, the video plays and when they click the file attachment link, they see my file.

 

I’m finding a test run failing to convince me it knows I’ve keyed in a new contact in Notion and secondly, I’m finding my file attachment link is not finding a suitable field to be keyed into, within Zapier… the test email shows an attachment, but the file does not open. My video opens fine.  

 

I’ve tried to look for this solution in previous Community F&Q’s

For us to have more info, post these screenshots:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible in the CONFIGURE tab

Hey ​@Louis Is UK 👋 Just checking in as it’s been a while since you posted this - were you able to get the files attached to the email? 

If so, we’d love it if you could share what the solution was to help others that might be running into a similar issue. 🙏

And if not, can you share some screenshots as Troy mentioned so we can get a bit more context on the current setup? With the screenshots, as this is a public space you’ll want to use a tool like Zappy to remove any personal info like names, emails etc. before sharing here.
