I am using Salesforce and an email software called Feathr.

I created two Zaps that connects my Salesforce checkbox field to a field in Feathr. My Zap when I uncheck the checkbox appears to be working and sending data to Feathr, however, my Zap when I check the checkbox does not seem to be triggering at all.

I am using virtually the same Zap for both, except one field to update is “False” and the other is “True.” Any advice on how to get the “True” Zap to work is appreciated.

Hello,

Can you please share screenshots of these Zap setups? That will help us understand more what is going on so that we can troubleshoot. Specifically, please include screenshots of your trigger and the filter that you’ve set up.

Sure.

Here is the Zap that appears to work. The other zap is the exact same expect “false” is set to “true”

For the Zap that is not working, what is the Field Updated To in the Salesforce app set to? Could that be the problem?

Am I correct in understanding that that Zap is not triggering at all? If so, the issue is with the Salesforce trigger, so that’s where you should concentrate your debugging efforts

Correct, the Zap does not trigger at all.

The Field Updated on the Salesforce trigger is set to “True” should I try “true”?

It’s worth a try! I’d experiment with the value until you get it triggering properly in a test. It’s likely that the problem is you’re not configuring the search correctly.

It may be helpful for you to use Salesforce’s Find Record Zapier action to search a specific record where the value is set to True. Then you’ll know how you need to format that value for your Updated Field on Record trigger!

Thanks for your advice/help!

I tried to get the Zap to work, but ended up making a different Zap. It looks like if you leave the Updated Field on Record blank, your zap only triggers once. After doing some research, I was not able to find the right Updated Field on Record for my use case. I ended going with outbound messages/webhooks.

Thanks so much for following up here to share that you solved it using outbound messages/webhooks instead, @NonVi! And big thanks to @michaeltoth for helping out here—great to see such collaboration in the Community! 🧡
