Hi there, I was in the process of setting up zap over the course of a few days, with New Attendee Registered in Eventbrite as the trigger. All test records using dummy registrations created in live Eventbrite events worked as expected.

When I published the zap and then later returned to test it live with new dummy registrations, the zap didn’t trigger on new registration - wondering if there is an issue with this trigger.

About the zap and what I’ve tried:

  • The New Attendee Registered trigger is configured to all Live events in our Organisation, with no specific event set, so should accept all registrations for all events. All events I have tested are published and live.

  • These registrations all loaded as available test records, but not as Zap runs in the left panel regardless of status, so there not even triggering then failing.

  • Live registrations have been made manually as admin in the back end of the event, by myself through the front end, and also a real registration by a genuine student. None trigger the zap. These have been for different live published events.

  • I have received all associated confirmations and notification emails from Eventbrite, so I know the registrations were successful.

  • Taking the registrations that appear as test records through the entire zap, all steps function as expected.

  • I have tried this zap with the Eventbrite connection both shared and not shared with my Zapier team.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and hoping I’ve just made a silly mistake.

Hi @sdg

Eventbrite Status page to check for recent/ongoing incidents: https://www.eventbritestatus.com/#past-incidents

Zap trigger event being used is Instant via webhooks which are sent from Eventbrite.

You may want to try reaching out to Eventbrite Support for help determining if there is an issue on their side that is impacting the webhook from firing to trigger the Zap.

Did your test match the conditions you have set in the Zap trigger step?

  • Organization
  • Event Status
  • Event

Thanks for your reply,

All testing and registrations were done though the same Organisation, and only through live, published events. Event had been left empty to permit any live event in the Organisation.

@sdg

You can try selecting a specific event to see if that works.

You can try opening a ticket with Zapier Support: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

@sdg

Another workaround to try is to configure a webhook in Eventbrite per their guide: https://www.eventbrite.com/platform/docs/webhooks

Zap trigger: Webhook - Catch Hook

This will generate a unique webhook URL to configure in Eventbrite.

We’re also experiencing this bug, hope it will be fixed soon!

@qonto

I recommend reporting this to Zapier Support via a ticket: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

I’m having the same exact issue. I can push test data through manually, but the Zap is not firing anymore from an Eventbrite registration.

Something has broken.
