Proposify: Incorrect Proposal Value

We have a set Zap that, when a proposal (made with Proposify) is marked as won (signed, or manually marked as “won”), a message gets sent to the Slack channel. Part of the message is the proposal value, pulled from the value “Formatted Value Static”. However, that value is very rarely correct (it’s not the same as the value of the signed proposal).

How can we get the correct value?

P.S. After a bit of research we found out that the value shown in the Slack message (meaning the value stored as “Formatted Value Static”) is the value of the proposal set when the proposal was created and sent. If a lead, or we internally, make changes to the proposal after we sent it, and then the proposal gets signed, the value remains the same (the Formatted Value Static doesn’t get changed).

@TownWeb

Unfortunately, if that’s the value getting sent to Zapier when the proposal is marked won, even if it’s been changed at some point before that - then it’s going to be a limitation with Proposify integration (or bug).

The only potential workaround - do you get an email from Proposify when a proposal is marked won? And if so does it contain the correct value? If so we could scrape it.

Hey @TownWeb,

I think it’s a limitation for the Zapier Proposify integration. See more about it here- https://support.proposify.com/hc/en-us/articles/37746706485915-Zapier-integration

But there is a workaround by quering the Proposify API directly using Webhooks in Zapier. Please note you need Proposify business plan for API access. See more about it here- https://apidocs.proposify.com/#tag/Documents/operation/documentsGetv2

Here is a helpful article about Webhooks in Zapier- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496326446989-Send-webhooks-in-Zaps. I can understand it can get a bit more technical and complex but if it’s important for you, you can give this approach a try. Hope it helps!
