Question

Notion's "New database item" trigger isn't triggering when a new form is submitted

I made a zap to trigger whenever a new database entry is added into the notion database it formats the data and creates an issue on linear and i’ve linked the database to the zap and made sure all the permissions are there and given to zapier
I have the database hooked up to notion forms and whenever a new form is submitted it creates a new database item

yet the trigger isn’t working whenever a new form is submitted and i’ve tested it time and time again and it gives me the same error

I noticed sometimes it works when I manually add a new database for testing, but it doesn’t work when I add a new database through the form

I would love some help on why this is happening and what’s the best solution for this
Thank you in advance

Hi @abdulrahmanbawes

What Zapier plan do you have?

The Notion Zap triggers are scheduled meaning those can take from 1-15 minutes to fire depending on your Zapier plan.

Check your Zap Runs history for activity: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Hi @abdulrahmanbawes, welcome to the Community! 🎉

I just came across this and wanted to check how you’re getting on—did the Zap trigger in the end or has it still not triggered on the database items that get created via a form?

Looking forward to hearing from you! 🙂
