No longer possible to have a "charge" object trigger a zap?

Hi, I’m wanting to build a Zap triggered by a stripe payment.

The developer I’m working with for this project has built it so this payment returns a charge object rather than a payment.intent object.

From what I can see this kind of object is no longer supported as a trigger action in Zapier’s Stripe integration. Is this correct?

Hi @LL-GOM

Good question.

If Stripe doesn’t have the desired Zap trigger event, then you can use Stripe Webhooks.

Location: Stripe > Developers > Webhooks > Add Endpoint

List of available Stripe Webhook Events:

https://stripe.com/docs/api/webhook_endpoints/create#create_webhook_endpoint-enabled_events

The Zap trigger step would be Webhook - Catch Hook which will generate the unique webhook url to set in Stripe.

Hi there @LL-GOM,

I have added your vote to the open feature request for this. That does a few things:

  • Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
  • Help track interest in this feature being implemented
  • Allows us to notify you via email if this feature becomes available in the future

While I don't have an ETA on when this feature might be implemented, we will notify you via email if it is!

Hopefully, this helps! 😊
