Dear Zap-Community,

I have a dilemma which I can’t figure out by the best of my capabilities.

I’ve set up a subscription renewal system within Google Sheets.

According to billing preferences (1 or 2 months) the “Billing Target” is firing and initiating a new billing cycle.

However, it just doesn’t fire - sometimes.

Which is funny, because when I have Google Sheets open within the browser and a push happens real-time, it fires.

So why could it be?

  • The Sheet resides in a Shared Drive in Google Drive
  • It fires (Billing Target changes) whenever =TODAY() matches Next Billing
  • The trigger cell switches back to an empty value the day after. Meaning the value interpolates like 0-A-0-B-0-C-0-D-0-E etc.
  • The rows within Google Sheets are partially pre-defined with formulas. Only a row update happens with specific data, such as the date of booking =TODAY()

Attached Screens and Zap Settings.

Thanks a bunch!

Alex

Hi @Scottbro

Good question.

Have you considered using Airtable instead of GSheets?

Airtable has a Formula field.

Airtable has Views, which are segments of data. (sort, filter, etc.)

Airtable Views can be used to trigger Airtable Automations/Zaps.
