I am trying to create a trigger so when a payment is added to an invoice in Xero another action happens 

however our client puts payments into specific accounts none of which are listed in zapier, only standard ones such as ACCRECPAYMENT as such it is not picking up on any payments can anyone advise on a solution

Good question.

I can't connect my Xero account

The Xero account you're connecting with must have either Standard or Advisor level rights in order to use the Xero API, which is required for connecting with Zapier. Read-only, Invoice Only, and Cashbook Client roles don't have the ability to use the API.
