New label for Gmail not triggering, even after 15 minutes

I have a trigger that is supposed to run a zap after I assign a specific label to a mail in gmail. 

it works when i run it manually. but it doesnt seem to work reliably on its own.

for example, I add the special label to an email at 10:14 am. An hour later, the zap still hasn’t run. 

 

I am on the starter plan, and it should run within 15 minutes, i think.

 

any thoughts?

I’m so sorry to hear about the troubles with your Zap.

Before we dive deeper, could you please these troubleshooting steps for me?

  1. Turn off your Zap.
  2. Reconnect your Gmail account here: https://zapier.com/app/connections/gmail
  3. Turn on the Zap again.
  4. Check if the Zap triggers in the Zap history.

If that doesn’t work, could you please share a detailed screenshot of how your Zap is configured? I’m specially curious with the trigger step’s “App & event” section. Here’s an example screenshot:
