Hi @nartimus, welcome to the Community!
That is very strange. Is there any difference between the forms that are and aren’t able to load test form submission data? For example are they a different type of form or are their settings different in some way? Just wondering if it could be that the trigger is only able to see certain kinds of form.
Either way, it would be worth reaching out to our Support team here to flag this so that this can be investigated further.
In the meantime, perhaps you could get around this by:
- Skipping the test section and using the default test data to finish setting up the Zap.
- Then turn the Zap on and submit new test data to trigger it.
- After that, edit the Zap to see if you’re then able to load that test data into Zap.
If it isn’t able to pull in that data as a new test record, then you could try the following workaround to manually select the necessary fields:
Keen to ensure this gets sorted so please keep us updated on how you get on!
Hello @SamB
Thank you for your reply and welcome message!
I’m not seeing any obvious difference between the forms. Marketo only has one form type, and the only difference I’m seeing in the settings is the working one goes to a landing page once the form is finished while the non-working one stays on the same page. It doesn’t seem like that would make a difference, but I could be wrong(?)
Are there any Zapier preferred settings for marketo forms?
I’m reaching out to your Support team so hopefully we can figure out what is happening.
I may try your work around in the meantime just to try it.
Thank you!
Thanks for getting back to me, @nartimus!
There aren’t any preferred settings for the forms themselves as far as I know. It’s very odd that only some of the forms are able to successfully load yet there’s no major differences between them. Fingers crossed that workaround will help to get things sorted in the meantime. Please do let us know how things go with the Support team, I’m very curious to know what’s causing this!
