Netsuite authenticates successfully but no Record Types available to select

This post was split from the topic:

Hi, I am experiencing a similar issue. I have an underscore int eh company ID as I am testing first in our sandbox. I have checked all the permissions listed above and I ensured all the listed settings are active. It authenticates but then cannot find any record types at all.

I can see the access token is created in Netsuite as well when I authneticate.

Hi @niall.magee,

Welcome to the Community.

The issues you're experiencing may be related to account settings or permissions. Underscores in the company ID shouldn't cause problems if placed correctly, but ensure you use the right sandbox or production account ID. Verify that the role used for authentication has access to the necessary record types in NetSuite. If using a custom role, test with a standard role to identify if the role is the issue. Also, confirm the authenticated user has access to the specified role and try re-authenticating the Zapier connection, as this can sometimes resolve connection issues.

Let us know if you have any further questions. Looking forward to your response.

Thanks, Yes I was using a custom role that I setup following the docs provided as per my screenshots and gave all the roles listed in the guide. I have tested with an Admin account and everything works correctly so perhaps the docs are missing required permission sets.

Hi @niall.magee,

If a custom role isn't working as expected while the Admin account functions correctly, it may require additional permissions not listed in the documentation. To troubleshoot, provide details on the tasks and any error messages. Meanwhile, you can contact our Zapier support team, which will review and update the documentation as needed.
