Hi Zapier.

I am trying to connect my website to Zapier to my Mycred account but keep receiving this error:

“authentication failed: The app returned "Invalid API Key.”

I have added the correct website URL and API key provided on my Wordpress Zapier dashboard.

The Zap is to send users a Push Notification when they have earned points.

I have installed the:

  • myCred Zapier Addon
  • myCred-Zapier Settings

Could you please tell me how I can resolve this?

The "Invalid API Key" error can often be resolved by checking a few key areas: make sure the API key is correctly copied from Mycred (no extra spaces), confirm it has the correct permissions, and verify that the website URL in your Zapier setup matches the one in Mycred settings. Also, ensure you have the latest Mycred Zapier Addon installed, and check if any WordPress security plugins or server settings might be blocking Zapier's requests.

If you've followed these steps and are still experiencing issues, please provide any additional error messages or logs that might help us diagnose the problem further.

Hi Jammer, Yes I’ve just checked all you’ve mentioned and still having the same problem unfortunately.

here is a screenshot of the error I receive:
 

Is there any other information I can provide to resolve this?
