I am trying use Zapier to transfer data from Monday.com to Instantly.ai. On the trigger step with monday.com, I would like to use the trigger event ‘New Item in Board’ (name of board is “CRM - Accelerator, Consultants”). Meaning whenever there is a new item, it will trigger the action. Currently, in monday.com, I have a few table views within this board. And one of the table views (it seems Zapier automatically chooses which table to pull from). So from the table that zapier chose, I do have a email column that's filled out with dummy data and in the organization column that's filled out with dummy data but neither of those columns are showing when I test to find records or Zapier’s step one trigger step. 

What’s strange, is that Zapier will show a more columns from monday.com if I choose “Any Column Value Changed in Board” but this isn’t desirable because I only want the trigger to activate if a new item is added. 

Overall i just want to know is this a known issue or am i doing something wrong.

You may want to explore using Filter by Zapier. Here is a helpful article about it- https://zapier.com/blog/filter-by-zapier-guide/. Then you can apply filter to run the Zap only for selected newly created items in a board. Hope it helps!

Help us have more context by posting screenshots showing:

  • what you are referring to in your Monday Board that you are trying to use
  • how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode in the CONFIGURE tab with the field mappings visible

Prerequisites

To use the monday.com app on Zapier, you must have:

  • An active Monday.com account with Admin or Member user permissions for the boards, workspaces you want to connect. 
  • A Monday.com Standard plan or higher. as these plans supports integrations.

 

My sharable board isn't available in the board dropdown

To get access to Sharable boards, you need to connect using your Personal API token, and not your Company API token.
