I have three checkboxes on my Form. I am unable to identify which is which when building the zap to process submissions of that form.

In order to build the Zap I must pull test records. This unfortunately doesn’t pull from the table. (Which is fine but would allow me to simply enter testing data into the table in order to identify which is which).

The test data doesn’t include titles or labels for the checkboxes, only the values as seen in the screenshot.

Confounding this further is that the zap history shows value identifiers without labels which I could also try to use if these appeared in the test data when I go back to edit the zap.

Surely I’m missing something simple and I hope someone else has figured out the best way to get at this.

I should add that I’ve tried this with and without Labels on the checkboxes. They allow you to use Text and Labels on the Interface. I have deleted the Label and keeping the manditory Text field but I have tried this with both fields having the same value (which looks horrid on the public facing interface). However, if there’s a propagation delay with that, it could be I moved too fast.

Thanks!

Hi @riversmoke

One workaround would be to test each checkbox individually.

e.g. 1 of the 3 as true, then map that variable to the desired field in the Zap step.

Hi Troy, I really wish I could. But Unfortunately the test data does not pull from real form posts or from the table of form results. Is randomly generated so I don't have the ability to check a check box and use that data When configuring my zap.

Update!

I went back to my zap today and pulled fresh test data. This time, it pulled in results from my table - results from form submissions I did yesterday which included testing of each check box when checked or not so I could identify which is which.

I tried pulling test data minutes after creating this test data and it kept only pulling random results. It seems that waiting, at most about 24hrs, allowed this to pull enough of my own sample data to allow me to move past this.

Thanks Troy, it worked today, did not work yesterday!

That’s awesome @riversmoke! A huge thanks to Troy for lending a hand here and for pointing you in the right direction!
