recently our MS teams worklfows stopped working saying this:

GCC traffic is not allowed in public cloud

our MS365 tenant has always been GCC. how can i fix this?

Hi @joeh,

Welcome to the Community.

Microsoft Teams workflows in GCC environments may face integration restrictions due to compliance and security policies affecting third-party services like Zapier. If recent changes have disrupted your setup, review Microsoft's GCC updates and Zapier's policies. Explore alternatives such as Power Automate for bridging integrations or Microsoft's Graph API for custom solutions. If issues persist, contact Microsoft support and check community forums for insights from other GCC users. Combining these strategies will help maintain a compliant and functional workflow.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hey @joeh, just checking in—are you still getting that “GCC traffic is not allowed in public cloud error, or were you able to resolve it?

If you’re still running into issues, it’s possible that the permissions for the Microsoft Teams account connected to the Zap have changed. Could you check the account’s permissions and confirm whether it still has one of the required roles listed in the How to get started with Microsoft Teams on Zapier guide?

It needs to be one of the following:

  • Global Administrator
  • Security Administrator
  • Security Reader
  • Privileged Role Administrator

Looking forward to hearing from you! 🙂

yes the 365 account is a global admin. when i try to test the step in the zap config menu it still fails and has the same message. I can connect the zap fine but when i test it or if it triggers it doesnt send MS teams message and fails.

Hi @joeh,

If your Zap isn't sending messages to Microsoft Teams, check that Zapier has the correct permissions and that the Teams account is properly authenticated. Verify the selected team and channel, paying close attention to error messages. Try sending a simple test message to rule out formatting issues and ensure no Teams settings block external apps. Also, check Zapier's status page for known issues. If the problem persists, contact Zapier Support for help with your setup.
