I have a Microsoft excel zap action that adds a new row in my excel file. the connection is active and permissions are there, but anytime I test the zap it returns "Could not obtain a WAC access token."

Hi @Akafka,

Welcome to the Community! 🎉

Before we dig deeper into this, could you please try publishing the Zap and do a live run to see if the Zap will still run into the same error?

Kindly give it a try and let me know how it goes? I'll keep an eye out for your response!

Hi Ken,

I wouldn’t let me publish without selecting a worksheet, but it shows no selectable worksheets. After I input a custom worksheet and was able to publish it, it gave the same error. Please see below for the screenshot of no selectable worksheets

Hi there @Akafka,

Thanks for giving it a try.

I did some digging into this, and it seems like the "Could not obtain a WAC access token." error is a known bug. Our team is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. I've added your email address as another affected user. That does a few things:

  • Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
  • Help track and prioritize fixes
  • Allows us to notify you via email if/when this is fixed

Unfortunately, I do not have an ETA, but I’ve added you to the list of users affected by this issue so we can let you know as soon as we have any updates.

In the meantime, we suggest that you use Google Sheets as a workaround.

Additionally, you can stay in the loop/follow along with updates on the main thread here:

Hopefully, this helps.

For anyone that comes across this and wants to be added please reach out on the main topic for this issue here and we’ll get you added to the bug report.
