Hi everyone, I have been battling moving data between Modern Events Calendar and MailerLite for months now. Everytime I setup a Zap I get the error “Error while retrieving: Bargle! There was a problem with the data returned from this step! Please contact support.” even if the test is successful.

The zap then continuously shuts on and off and some subscribers move through and others don’t. It looks really unprofessional and managing this manually seems really inefficient.

Can you please help?

Hi @leanneb

Good question.

We would need to see detailed screenshots with how each of your Zap steps are configured along with the encountered error.

Hi @Tonbig thanks for the comment. I thought Zapier was working but now it turns out its not. Please see the screenshot of the error here:

And here is a video walkthrough. You can see here that my test is not successfully pulling through to zapier. I  duplicated the zap that was working which is why some of the steps have check marks and there is other test data. I also tried creating from scratch and it was the same error.

The new error I am seeing today is that the MailerLite group HSC Oct 10/11 doesn’t exist in the list to choose from either. That’s new - I’ve never seen that until today. It was always MEC that was the issue. Any insight appreciated.

Try using the Skip test] button.

Hi @Troy Tessalone Thanks. I have tried that. The zap turns on momentarily and then as soon as I reload the page it toggles back off.

@leanneb

Check your Zap app connections: https://zapier.com/app/connections

Check your Zap > Details > Change History for clues: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496182140941-Review-Zap-details

Thanks for your insights @Troy Tessalone . I’ve tried both of these are unfortunately nothing seems to jump out as problematic. When I review the zap history it doesn’t even show an error exists.

@leanneb

If you have a Zapier paid, plan you can try opening a ticket with Zapier Support: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

@Troy Tessalone Unfortunately I don’t. I did at one time and tried that and they were unable to help with this issue and said to reach out to Modern Events Calendar. I’ve been going in circles about this for some time.

@leanneb

Modern Event Calendar likely created and owns their Zap app integration, so if there is indeed an issue with the trigger data, then Modern Event Calendar would need to fix.
