Linking Notion tasks to specific projects in Zapier from Affinity updates

Hi!

I’ve set up a Zap where, if the relationship status field gets updated in Affinity (e.g., a contact’s status changes from New to Explore), Notion automatically creates a new task assigned to the person who made the change—prompting them to review next steps for that organisation.

The task is being created fine, but it keeps ending up in a "No Project" category in Notion. I can’t figure out how to link the new task to a specific project in Notion as part of the Zap.

Has anyone managed to solve this? Is there a way to tag the task to a project or database in Notion directly from Zapier?

Thanks so much!

Hi @Volta Circle HQ

Help links for using Notion in Zaps: https://zapier.com/apps/notion/integrations#help

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible.

Hi again, @Volta Circle HQ! 🙂

I just came across your other post here and wanted to check whether you solved this?

If not, can you share some screenshots as Troy mentioned so we can get a better idea of what might be preventing the right category from being selected? Make sure to blur or remove all personal information (names, emails, addresses etc.) from screenshots before sharing—you can use a tool like Zappy for that.

Thanks, excited to hear from you!
