We would like to create or update existing HubSpot contacts when a call is ended in RingCentral. The Zap is asking for an email, but we won’t have one since it is a phone call. 

Any thoughts on to get the Zap to work?

Please post detailed screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured to give us context about what you are seeing and trying to configure in the Zap steps.


We tried adding an employee email for testing but it didn’t work since they weren’t a contact in HubSpot

HubSpot is a CRM that uses email as the primary key for Contacts.

Instead you’ll need to find/create + update.

The Find/Create Contact step will return the HubSpot ID that you can map to the Update Contact step.
