Hello and thanks in advance! 

I’m building a zap, where a webflow submission creates a pipedrive deal and in that deal it should attach a person via search for that person, if not existent it creates new person (it’ll always create a new person) and attaches to deal.

Problem: Pipedrive deal gets created, new person gets created, but it doesn’t attach it to the deal and idk why.

I tried to delay the steps, but it didn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

For the Deal, the Person field expects the Person ID variable, rather than the Person Name.

If I add the search step, the name pops out automatically. Can I just replace it with ID? And Then on the second step Find Person , do I need to search by ID? Because these are all new persons that dont exist in Pipedrive yet, so there is no ID yet.

You do not need to add another Zap step.

You need to map the ID variable of the Person from Zap step 2. (You currently have the “Name” variable mapped from Zap step 2.)

 

Click the Person field label to see a tooltip with more info.
