Integrating Zoho Invoice with Shopify for B2B invoicing issues

After spending all day on this, I really need some guidance. I feel like the process should be easy but alas.

I sell products on Shopify B2C. Sometimes, I sell those same products B2B and invoice for those orders.

My ideal process -

  1. I add items to Zoho invoices - all of the SKUs match those in my Shopify.
  2. I send an invoice to a shop
  3. When I send that invoice, the stock available in Shopify is reduced by matching the SKUs in the invoice with the SKUs in Shopify.

I had one working, but it broke when I tested it with an invoice that included more than one product invoiced / line item. So I think the issue is I need Zapier to first separate the line items? But I have NOT been able to figure how to do this properly. Any help appreciated!
