Question

Integrating Jotform appointment into Outlook Calendar

Hi all, I am trying to set up so that my appointments from Jotform "New Submission” forms go through as a booked "create event” in my Outlook Calendar.  I've finally gotten it all set up and the output in Zap shows the correct dates and times for the event to start and end, but when I trial it and send to Outlook, it's placing it in a different time and date.  i.e. I have 16 April start 1.30pm end 2.15pm but it comes into my calendar as 14 April start 6.15am end 6.45am.  I've checked the time zones in all programs but I can't seem to find why it's getting it so messed up in Outlook.  Any suggestions or idea's on how to fix this?

Hi @AMC Chippy,

Welcome to the Community.

If you're seeing timing issues with Outlook Calendar events, it may be because Zapier uses UTC by default. Even if your time zones are correctly set elsewhere, differences in how Jotform collects time can cause discrepancies. To fix this, use Zapier's "Formatter" step to convert the submitted time to UTC before creating the event in Outlook. This ensures the correct time is used when the event is added to your calendar.

If you still haven't resolved your issue, please let us know, and we'll be happy to assist you further.

Hi there, @AMC Chippy 👋

Just came across this and wanted to check whether using a Formatter action, as Jammer suggested, helped to resolve the issue with the incorrect dates here?

Let us know how it’s going—want to make sure this gets sorted! 🙂
