Question

Inserting Data into Single Cell of Google Sheets has stopped working

We have had this zap running for 4-6 months with zero errors until a week ago.  We are using the “Update Spreadsheet Row” action and under the input of “Row” we would insert the cell, for example “B2” to update B2 in the Google sheet.  This stopped working and we are now getting this error- Error while hydrating data from Google Sheets: The app returned "Range ('SD Worksheet'!NAN) exceeds grid limits. Max rows: 42, max columns: 6".

Has anyone else run into this?  Is there a fix?  Help

Hi @Mauzman

Things to check/try:

  • Make sure you are using the updated GSheets Zap app version
  • Try reconfiguring the Zap step and testing
  • Try opening a ticket with Zapier Support: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

@Mauzman the Row input in Google Sheets is expecting a numeric value, e.g., just 2 instead of B2. I think earlier versions of the Google Sheets integration may have been more forgiving and allowed you to enter a specific cell, but in reality, all it should take is the row number, because you specify the individual column values further down below.
