Inconsistent Lofty trigger: Zapier Filter works, but Lofty fails to trigger, impacting Zap runs

I have a zap that has Lofty as the trigger. It then goes through the zapier filter. Finally, it increases the counter for a tracker in google sheets and for a tracker in Databox. However, Lofty is not running every time. The filter works fine but the trigger does not. For example, I have 7 zap runs for the month of November. My Lofty trigger is for New Leads and we have over 20 new leads in the CRM. Why is the zap triggering less than half the time?

Good question.

We would need to see screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured to have more context.

Note the trigger description in case that is applicable.
